Apple MacBook Pro 15-16inch 2015 Talk to any real Apple fan and they will tell you that the last great MacBook Pro is a 15-inch model in mid-2015. It has a wide variety of ports, excellent keyboard, and SD card slots. No butterfly keyboard or TouchBar can handle it. As former Tumblr developer, Marco Arment said: “It was designed for us, not asking us to adapt to it.

Apple’s 16-inch MacBook Pro is basically the machine that every creative person dreams of, with powerful features and a greatly improved keyboard. The larger big screen makes it more useful than the are replacement MacBook pro-2015 15 inch model, and it even extends or batters the battery life of the workstation.

Apple MacBook Pro 15-16inch 2015

The 16-inch MacBook Pro is Apple’s closest glory to rebuild the machine. It is powerful, and the company finally listened to complaints about its light butterfly keyboard and equipped the model with more traditional scissors-type keys. Although it doesn’t solve every pro-user problem – you’re still limited to four USB-C ports and no card slots – but it’s undoubtedly the best MacBook Pro available today for creativity.

Let’s first eliminate the obvious difference: its 16-inch screen is significantly larger. Like many PC manufacturers, Apple managed to mount larger displays into similarly sized enclosures by cutting off the sides and the border around the top

. The result is an intoxicating immersive 500-nit Retina display that will eventually compete with Dell’s Infinity Edge screen. This is a reasonable upgrade to the previous model, but also reminds the brilliant era of Apple’s 17-inch notebook.

Then there is the new magic keyboard – it feels more like a miraculous keyboard. Since its launch, Mac users have been complaining about the flat butterfly keyboard. And, while Apple finally solved some of the sound and reliability issues, it never felt great when typing. It always feels like pretending to type on a glass plate

– this is not satisfactory and the function is almost inadequate. Magic Keyboard solves this problem by returning to the scissors mechanism that Apple has used in its desktop keyboard for years. There is now a key itinerary, and they are no longer as swaying as the old MacBook Pro. In contrast,

the butterfly keyboard has a half-millimeter stroke, while the Dell XPS 15 has only 1.3 mm.

I almost forgot the feeling of typing on the MacBook Pro, but this new keyboard brought me back to the early days of writing with the second generation of MacBook Air.

The keyboard’s responsiveness is fascinating, like a world-class instrument waiting to play. A few millimeters of feedback actually makes the notebook feel like an extension of my body, not a tool that makes me feel annoyed every time I touch it. Even the guards of the butterfly keyboard can hardly deny that,

that the Magic Keyboard feels better and cannot reach other MacBooks as soon as possible. (MacBook pro 2015 apple)

Apple even made some compromises on the Touch Bar: the physical Escape button is back! And there is a separate TouchID and power button, which makes it easier to find. I don’t fully understand the usefulness of the Touch Bar, but at least I feel less obstructive to my workflow.

Apple MacBook Pro 15-16inch 2015

The 16-inch MacBook Pro is a bit taller than the 15-inch model, a few millimeters wide, and slightly thicker than 0.61 at .64 inches. It also weighs 4.3 pounds instead of 4 pounds. It definitely made my backpack a lot heavier, and its size was slightly larger, making it a bit trivial on a narrow coffee table

. But I think the trade-offs are worth it because Apple managed to put powerful features into the machine. Nice to see more design updates, but Apple’s one-piece aluminum case looks as smooth as ever, so I can’t really complain too much. (macbook pro 2015 for sale is on Amazon)

Under the hood, you have Intel’s latest six- and eight-core i7 and i9 processors, which can accelerate up to 5GHz. You can also choose between AMD Radeon Pro 5300M and 5500M GPUs with 4GB VRAM. Even more powerful GPUs can even be configured with 8GB of VRAM for heavy 3D rendering. Apple claims that the 5300M graphics card is 2.1 times faster than the 15-inch MacBook Pro, which makes sense because it uses AMD’s new rDNA architecture.

Apple has also opened up new horizons for storage and storage in the MacBook Pro, which supports up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM and 8 TB of fast SSD storage. It’s worth noting that Apple said it is the largest SSD in a laptop, and we haven’t found any evidence to prove it.

These are great high-end specifications for programmers and artists. In the past, you had to install a small SSD in a modern laptop and then carry a portable drive for storing larger files with you. The 16-inch MacBook Pro gives you the storage flexibility you need for desktop workstations.

Of course, you will pay a high price to maximize these specifications. Up to 64GB of RAM requires an additional $800, while 8TB of storage requires an additional $2,200. These are not really upgraded for the average user,

but I bet that large visual effects companies will not spend $3,500 to buy a beautifully decorated MacBook Pro to speed up their workflow.

Our evaluation unit is equipped with an eight-core i9 CPU and an AMD Radeon Pro 5500M graphics card, which makes me feel at a loss. Obviously, this goes far beyond the amount of work I need for my usual workflow,

which involves dealing with a large number of browsers, lightweight image editing, Evernote, Slack, and Spotify. When I did a tough job, such as transcoding a 4K movie clip, it took action. Handbrake processed the two-minute clip in just 52 seconds, and the new 15-inch Surface Laptop 3 took a full minute. In the Geekbench 4 Compute benchmark,

When I did a [tough] job, such as transcoding a 4K movie clip, it took action. Handbrake processed the two-minute clip in just 52 seconds, and the new 15-inch Surface Laptop 3 took a full minute. In the Geekbench 4 Compute benchmark, the new Radeon Pro GPU scored twice as high as the previous generation AMD hardware. In short, this thing screams.

When I benchmarked the 16-inch MacBook Pro, its touch was never hot, and although the fan was striking when it was spinning, the sound was not annoying. As part of the improved cooling setup for notebooks, fans now have up to 28% more air than before,

and the internal space covered by the radiators has increased by 35%. All of these improvements and the larger casing mean that the new MacBook Pro should be able to withstand heat better than any of Apple’s previous laptops.

Apple has also made many other compelling upgrades to the 16-inch MacBook Pro. The new six-speaker setup makes music and movies sound great. It is not a replacement for dedicated speakers, but it is impressive for ultra-thin notebooks.

Apple also handles separate microphones for 3 microphone arrays such as Blue Yeti. This is definitely a bit too much, but the recording is not bad for me… at least for laptops. And there is almost no background buzz. It’s more useful for video chat and yelling in Siri because professional users tend to be very religious about their favorite microphones.

Unfortunately, you can only connect using 4 Thunderbolt 3 USB-C ports. I am very happy to see that Apple brought back the SD card reader, but unlike the keyboard, this is the area where the company refused to return. Today, at least USB-C dongle and accessories are cheaper and better, but I have already talked to many professional Apple users and they are still satisfied with the flexibility of the 2015 MacBook Pro.

The new 100-watt battery per hour is also in line with Apple’s marketing campaign. The company claims to be able to use up to 11 hours – it can survive 11 hours and 20 minutes in our battery test. Of course, we just loop HD video, and you can expect it to drain faster under heavy workloads. Apple includes a new 96-watt USB-C power adapter in the box, the most powerful adapter we’ve seen on the MacBook Pro. It’s only a little bigger than the adapter for a 15-inch laptop.

Surprisingly, Apple kept the starting price of the 16-inch MacBook Pro at $2,399. This is a big amount for all the upgrades you get. For just $2,799, you can upgrade to the Core i9 with the best Radeon Pro graphics. For this category, this is not too expensive, although you can get the same processor and good NVIDIA graphics on the XPS 15 for $2,350. It’s no surprise that Windows PCs are cheaper – importantly, Apple once again has a compelling high-end laptop to prevent frustrated Mac users from jumping into Windows.

The 16-inch MacBook Pro is Apple’s closest product to the ultimate notebook. Although it may not have all the ports they want, it is an upgrade that Mac fans have been waiting for. The speed is so fast, I think the loyal Mac won’t mind carrying the SD card reader with you.

I have been testing it all night… I didn’t sleep much to do so! And you can throw at it the most demanding workloads ever! I’m thrilled. I tried Adobe Creative Cloud: Premiere Pro CC 2019 and Photoshop and InDesign. It’s a rocket!

So, let’s get right to the details. The new 16-inch MacBook Pro looks even cooler than its predecessor. It is also truly different.
The display features a 16-inch display. The new MacBook Pro is now a tiny bit thicker: up from 0.61 inches to 0.64 inches. And it’s also a tiny bit heavier: From exactly 4 pounds it went up to 4.3 pounds!

The new MacBook Pro 16 inch comes with four Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) sockets and a headphone jack. The Touch ID fingerprint sensor is still in the upper-right corner.

The resolution of the screen is nothing short of awesome: 3,072 x 1,920 pixels with 500 nits of brightness and 226 PPI. It gives you the P3 color gamut you learned to love.

However, it wouldn’t be Apple if the Cupertino-based company hadn’t gone above and beyond what it’s competitors are up to. Yeah, with Apple’s True Tone technology the display automatically adjusts the color temperature depending on the light properties of your surroundings.

New keyboard: scissor design replaces butterfly design

I love the new keyboard, which might also finally spell the end of the usually much-hated Butterfly keyboard! So, Apple finally ceased some ground and took notice of what we don’t want. We don’t want the Butterfly keyboard!

Awesome, I am so relieved about the new keyboard with its lovable scissor design. Typing on it is truly awesome. So, the wait is over.

As far as the SD card reader is concerned…. the wait is still on!

Apple is about total attention to the very tiniest of details. I noticed on the keyboard an “inverted-T”. What does it even mean, “inverted-T”? The left and right arrow keys are slightly shorter and a little bit smaller than the vertical ones. This way you can feel your way on the keyboard on your new dream machine.

Apple MacBook Pro 15-16inch 2015

The MacBook Pro comes in two flavors: with six- and eight-core Intel Core processors. As far as the video cards are concerned you can choose between an AMD Radeon Pro 5300M 4GB or a 5500M 4GB GPU (the upgrade to 8GB is optional).

The memory goes up to 64 GB. However, I am already happy with the 16 GB. I want to keep it affordable (I don’t want to have to hire a bodyguard, LOL!).
On the storage side, you can max it out with an 8TB SSD.
It’s far beyond my current needs, so I’ll pass on that one for now.

As a frequent flyer, I am happy to say that the battery went up from 84 Wh to 100 Wh. A brilliant choice of Apple’s! Bigger, meaning beyond 100 Wh wouldn’t be exactly better, b/c it would be more than the Federal Aviation Administration allows on board of a plane. Yeah, we have got to play by the rules.

If you also happen to fly long-distance, you’ll be excited to know that the battery is now rated for 11 hours instead of 10 hours in the 15-inch MacBook Pro.

The Verdict is In
MacBook pro-2015 battery 100 Wh

The new MacBook Pro 16 inch was worth the wait! It’s way faster and a joy to work with!

Apple MacBook Pro 15-16inch 2015

That’s it for now.

If you’ve been waiting for Apple to wake up and address the concerns raised by the Apple community — your wait is now over. This is the MacBook Pro we’ve all been waiting for years. This review is for the higher end model, stock.
